Is the Seve Trophy worth the bother?

Posted by: user14978 | Mon 1st Oct 2007 20:54 | Last Reply

In theory, GB&I v Continental Europe is a good idea. As is USA v the Rest of the World. It's a shame there's only one winner.

The President's Cup had Mickelson, the Seve Trophy had Dredge. The President's Cup had Woods, the Seve Trophy had Havret, The President's Cup had Scott, the Seve Trophy had Warren....should I continue?

I can imagine what the arguments will be, but I have to question that if it's not worth it for Irish Major winner, Harrington, and British Masters Champion, Westwood, what's the point?

Lovely golf course though, and well worth a trip.
