Club Pro Resigns post

Posted by: user460475 | Tue 4th Sep 2012 20:07 | Last Reply

What is the legal position regarding members credit balances held in his shop books? Can he refuse to refund such balances where the member concerned has no need of anything in his remaining stock? Is it normal to pass over such credits to his successor? Bear in mind that normally such credits are derived from comp. winning vouchers which normally cannot be exchanged for cash! All advice based on past experience would be appreciated. C. Black

My take is that the club are liable for the value of these vouchers simply because they are the ones who pay the pro when someone buys something with a voucher. The Pro does not get paid until the voucher is redeemed.
