Anyone played Baildon, Shipley?

Posted by: user460046 | Thu 23rd Aug 2012 17:39 | Last Reply

Im about to play Baildon Golf course, its up on the moors, and ive read it plays like a links course. Which tbh im petrified about! Especially with heather/gorse lining the course.

Anyone else played here and can give me any tips? (Im playing with mates, and dont want to lose to them haha) Or playing on links courses in general?

Im envisaging going round with a 5i off tee, then 7i onto green haha.

A few reviews online

Very nice course, the rough is really tough so important to stay straight with your drives & hit those fairways!

Darren, don't worry. So long as you can hit your drive about 270/280 yds with a dispersal pattern of no more than 5 yards you'll be fine.

Enjoy your game.

Richard

PS Just kidding!

for the record. great course!! very scenic, and not too hilly considering its location. Greens and fairways kept well, god knows how in the conditions they must get up there. Strongly recommend
