Scorching hot putter II
Just an update on my run with the putter.
Today, just 22 putts and more importantly a return to - par. A gross 71, 1 under par. 6 birdies.
And the comp? It was played with a pro's score from the Open added. Never mind but to be honest I don't care.

Brian that is an awesome display of putting, I had a good day on the greens yesterday but 22 is amazing!

With 22 putts I would be expecting a low 60's. GIR's were obviously in short supply. Still, 1 under par is a great round, Brian, well done.

John, it was into a 3 club wind going out. And courtesy of the tide changing, and hence the sea breeze, into 4 club wind coming back in, e.g. a 7 iron from 110yds. The 17th, normally played with a driver and a 9 iron, was played with a driver and a 5 iron. A tough day...

Brian, a great score with a three club wind blowing, but I feel that the 22 putts was greatly helped by 14 fantastic chips.
I remember Mike Weir scoring 64 somewhere with only 24 putts.
