Albatross Award - is it wrong in my golfshake awards (Darren please check)

I got the award after recording a hole in one on a par 4. I make that a gross 3 under on a hole, but when I hover the mouse over the award it states a gross 2 under on a hole. I thought gross 2 under was an eagle.

anyone else managed to be as lucky as I was or got an albatross from their skill????

Jealous....I've been playing for 30 years and never had an albatross!

I had one earlier this year whilst playing in Portugal on the Gramacho course. My coach/pro still gets jealous cause he's not had one !!

Well done Gary (and Martin). I've never had an albatross and like hole in ones on par 3's you've got to say that luck is the major factor ie the bonce or if straight in the fact it didn't come out again etc. A great shot to start with is a given. I think there is more skill involved with an eagle on par 4's and 5's. Still no taking away from the achievement.

I agree, this is luck entirely and it will probably never happen again.

No, I've not had one. The nearest I've been is 2" right pin high, and an easy tap in eagle. That would have been in the summer of 1975. Had plenty of eagles since but never been that close to that rare bird since.
