I almost played there one evening last year, but the day I turned up it was Ladies Day and despite there only being 5 or 6 cars left in the car park they wouldn't let me on. It did look like a lovely course though, and as you say, the greens looked really special. Must be all that rain they get up there

I ended up going to another club a few miles down the road (can't remember the name now), but felt I missed out on the better course.

Liam. Just looked it up and it was Pike Fold I played instead. That course was in excellent condition too, but it was just a little bit "new" by comparison. Hopefully the next time I get to visit my brother I will get a chance to try out Bury GC.
