Driffield

Posted by: user451055 | Sun 27th May 2012 16:31 | Last Reply

Has anyone ever played Driffield Golf Course? I have a match there this week and wondered how hilly it was. I am planning to carry but if it is hilly will take a trolley.

Any other top tips for the course also gratefully received!

Hi Judy,

I played there a few years back. It is almost flat, just a few ups and downs that you don't realise were there.

Judy,

One very strange thing about the layout of the course is the 15th. You cross the Drain to play 12,13 & 14 and return behind the 15th green. You then walk along side the hole passing the 16th Tee (you leave your bag there) onto the Tee and play back across the 16th tee to the green. Very strange.

Have a look at GoogleMaps.

Thanks everyone - no need for a trolley then. I hope the weather holds until Weds so I can enjoy it.

Played Driffield and can highly recommend it. A lovely course and a lovely atmosphere in the clubhouse - and they have a good chef! Will write a review for it.
