What would you give up for golf?
A post on another thread got me thinking... what would you give up for golf?
I had a big decision this year... Sky subscription or full golf membership... was I prepared to give up all the live coverage of golf, football, rugby etc to have enough money for full golf membership somewhere?
ok, it wasn't quite a black and white as that but that's what it boiled down to. In the end I kept Sky and kept my cheaper "flexi" membership at my club.
What sacrifices have you made to satisfy your golf craving?
Finance, friends, family... I bet there's some stories out there...

it would be a sad time, but the kids would have to leave, rather than give up the golf lol, seriously, i had a choice continue with the carp fishing or golf, so the rods packed away and the clubs are out, maybe i could sell one of the kids......!

I've not renewed my Wolves season ticket, but then that's not really giving up something i enjoyed; this season they were absolutely painful to watch! I've already spent the cash on a Ping driver and Cleveland irons which should be here in a couple of weeks.

I gave up the booze for a few months, and gave myself a bumper birthday! Wouldn't change it for the world.

Ah ha, finally someone admits it. Yes, it is a close thing isn't it. Don't know about anyone else but my main goal for all the DIY etc etc is to earn the "brownie points" to get out there again and have another crack at the course and try, in vain, to get that ultimate round where everthing goes just right...
One day it will happen...
...then I'll want to go out and do it again!!
