York & District Golf League

Hi All

The new season for the York & District Golf League at Skelton Park Golf Club is starting soon. After a very successful 1st year it is back bigger and better. Similar format with a few small changes. It runs for 12 weeks starting on Thursday 17th May, but you only need to compete in 8 of the weeks which gives you the opportunity to miss 4 weeks for holidays etc. The biggest change we have introduced is you can now post your score at any point during the day each Thursday as long as you have someone with you who can verify and sign your card. There is always someone about at the club like the Pro Andrew or owners Julian & Iain who will be more than happy to do this. This has been brought in to enable people who work shifts the opportunity to take part in this popular competition. Most will play though at the scheduled start time of 6pm each Thursday like last season. Last seasons Champion Gary Smith is back to defend is title and runner up Shaun Adams is hoping to go one better. Everyone is welcome to take part and it is open to all no matter what your ability, in fact current champion Gary plays off a high handicap which proves anyone really does have a chance of Glory.
