Medal or Stableford

Just been checking past results at club comps & it seems I play far better in medals than I do in stableford comps can't seem to get 36pts but I can occasionally get under par in my medal round not sure why maybe I get too hung up on S.I. & blobs disrupt my flow during stableford but I tend to keep my head down during medal rounds.I was always thought stableford was an easier format of the game.
