I've got tickets for the Saturday, me and my mate are going, it will the first time I've been to a golf event. Can't wait!!!

being a Bolton lad, it's a short train ride up to Lytham for me, don't envy you Darren as it's some journey from where you are...

Blimey - I am from Bolton too - went to Deane Primary then Smithills. Never played golf in Bolton though as been years since I lived there. 

I am hoping to go to the Open on the Thursday. Will probably drive over from Leeds. We always like to get our moneys worth so will prob avoid the bad traffic by arriving 7amish and leaving 7pmish! We did that at st Andrews and it worked a treat.

 

This has reminded me to apply for tickets and check out parking!

Hi Anthony, yes I did go to MSJ. left in the summer of 03 then on to 6th form at Thornleigh. Deane's a great little club, when you join, seek me out and I'll sort your cards out for you. Do you by chance know Craig Hunt?

Slightly off topic, but I'm looking forward to going to Senior Open at Turnberry (26th - 29th July)
