Disaster Strikes....

Posted by: user20126 [FORUM MODERATOR] | Sat 31st Mar 2012 17:50 | Last Reply

I had one of those 'Heart stopping' moments the other day whilst out on the golf course.

On the 18th hole on the Priors course, a par three hole which is all carry over water.  Out of bounds behind the green and a small bunker.

I managed to put my first ball into the water, about two feet short of the edge.

Having managed to put my second ball into the small bunker behind the green, I retrieved my original golf ball from the pond.

Once we had completed the hole I noticed that my ball retriever had some mud on the end.

I swished my ball retriever in the pond to clean the mud from it.

This is when the disaster happened.....

As I lifted my ball retriever out of the water the head fell off the shaft.

The only lucky thing was that this happened over dry land and not over the pond.

Now this ball retriever cost me around fifteen pounds about three years ago.

This is the best value for money item of golf equipment I have ever purchased, it's saved my hundreds of pounds over the last few years.

What will happend to me now?

All that water at both my golf courses and no way of getting any of those lovely, only hit once golf balls!
