Forest of Arden tips or advice

Posted by: user26342 | Mon 13th Aug 2007 21:24 | Last Reply

I'm playing the championship course at the Forest of Arden on Friday and wondered if anyone could give me any tips or websites that showed me the course layout so I could do some sort of preperation.

Thanks,

J.

Ah, the 18th over the water.  I played there when I was very naive and it can mess with your head that hole.  It's not just over water, it's over a gorge and in full view of the restaurant and bar so on a busy, sunny day you can be palying to a large and critical gallery as well.  Trust the yardage, it looks longer than it actually is because of the gorge and try not, as I did, bang it miles right towrds the 9th!

The problem was I'd pulled back 6 shots on the 10th to the 17th to draw level with my two playing partners who were battling it out all game.  So it was my honour on the 18th, lovely sunny Sunday afternoon, crowded bar and I fell to pieces....

Never happened again (well not in the last 24hrs!)
