Custom Fitting Experience

Today I went to the Belfry for a custom fit for a new set of irons & a new driver.

The session lasted 2 hours & I would recommend it to anyone.

The feedback I got from testing various irons & drivers with differing lofts & shafts was launch anlges, clubhead speed, backspin, sidespin, carry distance & much more. The chap explained why each club was different, what it helped to do & why.

The end result was a set of Taylormade R7 irons (4-PW £402) & an 11' Callaway Big Bertha (£179). As I purchased the clubs from them they refunded me the £50 I paid for the custom fit.

If anyone is looking for a new set of clubs you need to go down & have a custom fit to get the best out of your new set.

How do you go about booking a time?  Is there a long waiting list?

I rang on Tuesday & got a time for Friday, as far as I know there is no waiting list.
