Woolfox
Considering how little rain we have had the course was very green and its starting to take shape with regards the changes they have made to the lay out. The greens were in very good condition. There are a number of holes that make you think about club selection of the tee, which I love.Reviewer Rating

Short immature parkland with patchy fairways but good greens
Played off whites but still very short, a little water but very immature as a course. The fairways were patchy, bunkers good and greens also good albeit slow. Not worth the money.Reviewer Rating

What a shame! I used to enjoy playing this course when it was Rutland County but now, as Woolfox, it has deteriorated significantly. Course changes have significantly reduced the course length and when I played it in early May the fairways were in poor condition. There were no yardage markers so a rangefinder is essential. The greens were slow and uneven. It isn't worth a green fee of £29. So disappointing!

The par 3 first over water is a tester . Huge lakes , mostly left and right of the fairway . Four of the holes have a new layout , one new green , otherwise the greens are the same, just the approach is different .

A developing pleasure
A developing pleasure of a course to play. Still little bits of work to complete from its alteration from Rutland County as it was but it does have potential. The tees, fairways and new water features are lovely as are the new holes to the layout. What lets the venue down are the greens, which is a shame, they were very bobbly and probably just need a good roll. Could have played not long after some maintenance carried out on them but didn't distract from the visit. The clubhouse (hut) where the driving range is is very basic to say the least but the staff were friendly and the catering was excellent. Another modern card only payment system, which unfortunately is not everyone's choice for the day but on the whole I was happy to return to see the new development and challenge. I would recommend others to play and I would return myself.Reviewer Rating

Flatish, challenging at times but fair
Good Course (Greens were excellent) with a friendly staff.New clubhouse and facilities are being built,
Not busy when I played around 2pm (which I like)
Course has been altered to facilitate new buildings but still a good, well kept course.

Course set-up changed
Due to new development works this course has now been altered. The 1st & 9th are no longer in play and have been replaced by 2 new par threes. The course is in good nick - just rained. Staff are brilliant - very informative and helpful.Reviewer Rating

Woolfox
Its been a while since I last played Woolfox and they are trying to add some nice features to the course and the facilities. New pond on 5 and lake down the left hand side of 6. The course was in better condition than I thought it would considering we have had no rain. The greens were in decent condition, some a bit patchy. Woolfox under development
A lot of development work where you would not expect it! 4 big areas of old ponds have been cleared and new lining put in for big ponds. However the greens and tees are being neglected and are worn and lumpy.Reviewer Rating
