A Nice Little Enjoyable Course
This was a nice course to play on a late September afternoon, course was in very good condition considering the recent downpours. Fairways were nice and firm and greens receptive to ball control. The only issue I had was (apart from the 600 yard + hole) was the lack of "Next Tee" signage, otherwise a fun and enjoyable course.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic course

It was a great course played tuff but overall really enjoyable but the greens played around with your head but that was the weather.

Gets better every time I visit
This course, on the face of it, might look like a simple small club in a tiny Norfolk village. In some respects it is when compared to some other courses nearby. But the owners have recently been spending a lot if time and a fair amount of money improving the facilities. A new golf shop, changing facilities and revamped patio area to name a few improvements. The course itself has a wide range of holes of varying degrees of complexity. All are relatively flat, so no hiking up hills required. The course in good condition, although a few of the greens are showing the signs of the recent hit weather. I've played at Mattishall a few times now and each time it's a better course and club house than before. Will definitely play there again soon.Reviewer Rating

Played this course recently and was pleasantly surprised. This is a lovely course to play with a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very welcoming entrance from lady in the clubhouse. Members were all very friendly and helpful. As for the course, it was in very decent condition. The variation in tees due to the 9 hole arrangement was good on some holes, but wasn't really much different on others, other than just adding 20 or so yards onto the hole. Greens were in a lovely shape. One of the best courses i have played to date in terms of value for money. Great day out.

Amazing value, £12 for 18 rounds of a full sized golf course is ridiculous, particularly when you can take advantage of that price even at premium times. The course isn't as interesting as some, but there is variation and the fairways were in good condition. The greens could do with some TLC (perhaps more obvious education to beginners who haven't repaired their pitch marks).
Overall, it is relaxed, and all the players on the course all seemed very friendly. The perfect place for a beginner, or as a practise course to take your time and hone skills without either the pressure of a busy course, or the high price.
