What The Club Says
The expertly designed 18 hole parkland course is set in a quiet rural countryside location with rolling hills and many large mature trees, yet only 8 miles from Cambridge. A brook runs through the course coming into play on several holes and combined with 3 lakes creates a very picturesque setting. Overall the course offers an enjoyable, relaxing challenge to golfers of all standards.

Gone down hill
Great course layout, but currently in terrible condition and hugely overpriced.I played here a few years ago and really enjoyed it, so I was surprised to see the course in such poor condition this time. The greens had significant dead patches and holes, the fairways were far too long despite the current heatwave, and many of the bunkers had virtually no sand. There also appears to be a lot of work going on around the course.
At £60 a round, I don’t think the current condition represents good value — especially with photocopied paper scorecards! The clubhouse is fantastic, but unfortunately it seems to be the main focus and where the money is currently being spent.
The green fee should certainly be reduced, at least temporarily, while the work is being carried out. It’s a real shame because the layout itself is excellent, and I remember the course being in great condition when I played here previously.

Has potential
Under new ownership and with a change of name to Cambridge Country Club there is plenty of work going on around the course. It's a short course with a lot of blind tee shots, small undulating greens that ran fairly well. Club house looked revamped and was done well, food was decent and overall the whole experience was good.Reviewer Rating
