What the club says: The Greens Course:
Riyadh Green Course offers challenge and pleasure to clients of all levels. An official Par-72/73 championship course situated just 20-25 minutes from Riyadh City Center, recently opened to cater the serious athlete or to simply unwind and indulge in the beauty of the course.

Undulating terrain, wide fairways and manicured greens awaits golfers to a pleasurable experience of the game. Challenge looms over the longest hole on the course, a Par-6 739 yards with strategically positioned sand bunkers, narrow approach and lush vegetations; and intimidating Par-3 with just 162 yards frequented with crosswinds and guarded by water on all sides. Manmade streams traversing into the whole course also serves as challenge and excitement, keeping golfers at the height of their game.

The Desert Course:
Opened late 1986, Riyadh Desert Course is a Par-72 with 7000 yard length and considered as the oldest public golfing facility in Riyadh.

Coupled to the golf course is the Driving Range where patrons can practice their fine skills or simply warm-up for the game. Professional golf tuition is available from our qualified personnel of whom had been associated with the course since its construction Membership inquiry is available upon request.

One of only 3 green 18 hole courses in Riyadh its in great condition if a bit long from the Blue tee off points. Well designed and challenging it does lack the more interesting challenges you get with undulating ground - its flat in the desert! Can be expensive but ask for vouchers which, if bought in multiples, can save you a considerable sum.

My local course while working in Riyadh. Blue tees very long! 6850 yards so play of the White tees - which is still 6324 yards and similar to course in the UK. A well maintained course and always interesting to play.

Course condition is superb with water obstacles a feature on several holes. Open but with encroaching areas where you can get into difficulty if your shot leaves the fairway play tactically to ensure good flow and and low strokes.

Good use of your driver can gain significant advantage on several holes if courageous enough, especially over water obstacles. Hole 1 is particularly difficult with obstacles to the front from tee off so ensure well warmed up and take the low risk options until this is under your belt

The course is now more mature and in the winter months all the streams and man made lakes are full of the wet stuff!! Off the back tees it plays over 7000 yds and is a completely different course, Ultra challenging. A new two teir driving range has just been installed as well. Over all a fantastic experience.

Perhaps 'stupid' long with a par-6 hole of almost 700 yards and perhaps more bunkers up and down both sides of all fairways and some of the greens have a lot of sand and stone on them. However given that were in the desert here, they guys do a pretty good job at keeping it a playable green course.
