What the club says: Ridgeway Golf Club has one of the most challenging 9 hole courses in the country. The course is memorable for its excellent and stunning views. Combining a mature, tree-lined setting and magnificent views of the Bristol Channel and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Fun course - Bad greens
2-ball on a rainy morning. Visibility was poor, but the course was fun. The greens were in terrible condition, no excuse with the recent weather conditions. However, the staff & members was very friendly, so we'll be giving it another chance.Reviewer Rating

Good course
Lovely course but the greens were uncut which made pacing putts difficult however this is not normally the case(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 43 Handicap: )

I had a Christmas work do at this golf course and I have to say they were amazing hosts and looked after their customers well for example half of our work peers could not get a lift home, thefore the manger made sure that we for home safety. Many that's for great hosting and such a great night. I would highly recommend this golf course to host party's or wedding's.

A very testing course, all holes are tree lined and not very forgiving, it would test the best of golfers.
The fairways are in good condition and the greens vary from slow to fast.

A great little course that's in decent condition. Two tees on every hole make it an 18 if required. Good value and friendly club house.

The course is improving week to week. Massive improvement in the greens over the past few weeks.
Tight holes and enjoyable short 9 hole course.
Best Score - 40 (09/06/2015). Handicap (haven't got official one but around 14-16 I should imagine).

Great game today although the second was very wet and the bunkers deep in water the rest of the course played very well and the greens were running at a good pace

A test of accuracy and patience. Short course with challenging holes, the course at the moment is in very good condition and is improving each week with new management and greens staff.

The course has potential, but is poorly looked after from what I can see. Bunkers need sand, greens need work and were so bobbly. The tee off mats are dreadful, I noticed the grass tees which were roped off are also in a state of disrepair. The range is having work done and perhaps this is where the investment is rather than the course which could be a real cracker. Hole 2 from the back (par 5) is a beauty and some decent par 3's and holes 6 and 7 a good challenge.

The course is average at best! It's very poorly signed so if you haven't played the course it's very difficult to know which hole is next especially as many tee boxes are a long way away from the previous green. The 2nd hole tee areas are full of bird pooh from the Canadian Geese that live on the pond adjacent to it! The greens were rock hard and un responsive whilst chipping on yet whilst putting on the greens they were rather slow! Very odd!!
For £10 after 11.30 for play as many holes as you can its good value but not an enjoyable golf experience for me and wouldn't recommend it for the serious golfer

A very interesting and varied course with only one problem - the 6th hole is a joke. The slope is so severe across the fairway that it is impossible to be rewarded for a good straight shot. A decent drive on the far right of the fairway will still end up rolling past a line of trees on the left which blocks the second. A lay up shorter will suffer a similar fate, rolling right into the rough on the left and be blocked out by trees. Difficult to see how to play this hole sensibly, but every other hole is enjoyable to play, with all the greens delightfully situated and the course overall has a lovely atmosphere and a variety of shots required to get round. Shame the 6th spoils every single round.

A very good use of space. Lots of variety between the holes. Don't be put off as it's 9 holes - the are 2 tees on each hole and most of them play differently the second time around.

well laid out course played there on many occasion by far the best nine hole course around,challenging although the 5th and 6th are at angles and really testing. very good value at £10.00 for ulimited holes after 11am. reviewed by steve hopkins

The course is a fairly challenging 9 hole that has doffering tee positions for certain holes that alls you to do 18 holes whilst maintain a 1-18 stroke index (which is impossible if you go off the same tees twice when completing 18 holes). It seems to drain water well as it had rained a lot in the 2 days before the round, although this was in the summer. For the price of a round (£10 for 18 holes after 11am on a sunday) you really can't fault it... excellent value!! Will play this one again. I found it both challenging and rewarding in equal measure (i'm a high handicapper).

A nice testing 9 hole course with many varied holes to allow all levels of golfer to play and get something out of the course.
Different Tee positions allows for the round to be played twice for a full 18 holes card.
Great for evening golf after work to play 12 holes etc.
