What the club says: More than 10,000 years ago the retreating glaciers of the ice age created the stunning landscape of plateaux, sweeping valleys, natural lakes and free draining soil on which Esker Hills is built. Add the genius of Christy O?Connor Jnr and you have a golfing gem in a unique setting with 18 holes of challenging championship golf where no two holes are remotely alike. Noted for its distinct links feel, superb sand based greens and warm welcome, Esker Hills continues to receive rave reviews as the ultimate golfing test and one that you will certainly remember.

This was the 2nd course of our annual golf tour to the heart of Ireland in September 2007. This was by far the best course I have played, ever! And this comment was echoed by the majority of our society. The course was in excellent condition and great because there was a different challenge with each hole, the greens were huge and immaculately kept. The welcome and hospitality in the club house was friendly and inviting and the food was most enjoyable. We are thinking about coming back for next year's tour!
