Outstanding course
This was my second visit here, as an additional round to the 5 pre-booked with my holiday. The National Golf Club in Belek stands out as one of T?rkiye?s most iconic golfing destinations, often praised for its character, strategic challenge, and beautifully maintained setting. As the first international-standard golf course built in T?rkiye, it has a certain maturity and natural feel that newer resorts sometimes lack. Unfortunately, since my last visit, a number of houses have been built to the left of the first par 5, and the reed which used to form the left side of the hole are gone, with just the water hazard in place ? not very pretty any more, but other than that? The course blends seamlessly into the surrounding pine forests and eucalyptus trees, creating a serene and scenic environment. Fairways are tight but fair, rewarding accuracy and smart shot-making. Water hazards and well-positioned bunkers come into play often, adding a thoughtful strategic dimension to each hole. The greens are typically quick and true, with subtle breaks that keep players engaged.Conditioning
Maintenance is consistently excellent. Tees, fairways, and greens are in superb shape for most of the year, even during high-traffic seasons. The course?s natural, somewhat parkland feel contrasts nicely with many of Belek?s more resort-style layouts.
Clubhouse & Facilities
The clubhouse offers a welcoming, traditional atmosphere with helpful staff and all the amenities golfers expect; good dining options, a pro shop, and comfortable areas to relax before or after your round. The driving range and practice areas are top-notch, making it easy to warm up or spend time refining your game.
Overall Experience
A very disappointing experience for one or two of our 4 groups of fourballs was the over-zealous Marshal who kept telling us to play quicker and told one of our groups to walk the 17th hole and play the 18th. This despite the fact that all our groups were round the course in between 4 hours 10 minutes and 4 hours 20 minutes, with the scorecard stating that the recommended playing time is 4.5 hours. This was not the treatment we expected for the price we paid, and without exception, we all did NOT use the bar facilities after the round, and refused to have our clubs or shoes cleaned.
The National feels like a ?golfer?s golf course?; challenging but enjoyable, scenic without being overly manufactured, and professionally run without losing its charm. For golfers visiting Belek, where there?s no shortage of world-class courses, The National remains a must-play thanks to its history, character, and consistently strong playing experience.
I like the course and would recommend and play again. I?d say the course is especially for golfers who appreciate traditional course design, strategic play, and mature landscapes, but make sure you do not put up with jobsworth Marshals.

Inhospitable staff
Nothing wrong with the course but you are made to feel as welcome as a fart in a lift. We arrived in plenty of time for a practice putt but were immediately hassled to get on the first tee because it was clear. Marshall’s were buzzing around like flies with little regard for whether they were interrupting your swing. Score card clearly says a round should take 4 hours 30 minutes or less. We were on the 17th tee after 3 hours 45 minutes and a Marshall tried hassle us on to the 18th tee because it was free. When we politely refused he became very cross and persistent. Using more industrial language we reminded him that at 170 euros for a round we were going to play all 18 holes he eventually backed off and drove away still cursing out loud. By the way there was a clear hole behind us so we weren’t holding anybody up.Reviewer Rating

Left to rot
Been a member for nearly 10 years and although the course is still tough, it has been left to rot by the owner. Greens are patchy, tee boxes uneven and full of divots, it just doesn't get the care that Carya gets though it is a far better track when in good nick. Shame. Oh, and members count for nothing.Reviewer Rating

Best course I've played in Turkey
Small Pro-shop with everything crammed in, so couldn’t see much and couldn’t find a souvenir ball marker or something similar. Our ride back to the hotel was ready when we came off the course as well, so no time to try and have another look.We played the original 18, of the available 27 holes. The course itself was superb, and immaculate. There were a lot of greenkeepers working around the course, but if we were playing anywhere near them; they stopped working, and stopped the diggers being used and were quiet until we had finished – very respectful. Fairways, tees and bunkers were perfect, and the greens ran very true and were quick, in fact far quicker than all the other courses we played in Belek. The overall layout was very good, with interesting holes, none of which were similar to each other.
Pace of play was difficult to judge. We were told we should be round in 4 hours, but as a 4 ball including a couple of wayward big-hitters, we spent far more time than I liked searching in the trees for golf balls. I also think that 4 hours would be pushing it for what is quite a difficult course with a fair amount of water, but we were never hassled by the course ranger, who we did see patrolling the course.
I would definitely recommend the course and would like to play it again, but the one major downside was the cost of Euro170, which included the fare from our hotel, which was really quite close to the course, so probably only Euro15 of the total cost. Nothing else was included in the cost, unlike at other courses where food and drink are included. At The Nationalother it was just the cost of the golf, and I would not be happy to pay this for any course in the future, no matter how good I thought it was. Date played Wednesday 23rd November 2022.

Best in Belek
Been a member here for the last 5 years, have also been members at Gloria and Sueno, played all the courses in Belek but none of them are as challenging as National, if you play well here you really are on form, quick raised greens, deep bunkers and of course the water and trees. Superb clubhouse and terrance to enjoy after.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 93 Handicap: 14.4)

I'm sure it was a great course as originally designed
We had no choice but to play holes 19 to 27 (the TUNA) before playing the back nine of the original 18. Completely undermines the experience as the additional hole design is totally different - and not as good as the original 18. Of all the courses we played this year, this was the least enjoyable experience - not just in golfing terms, but also in the clubhouse, where the service was unusually poor. When you book this course try and ensure you are playing the original 18 as I'm sure it would improve the experience.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 104 Handicap: 24)

Super Course
Great course in Belek. Very well maintained. Has the feel of a traditional course, especially 1 to 18 ( 19 to 27 more like a resort course). Tough, tight track, and a great challenge for players of all levels. Hole 18 is one of the finest and loveliest finishing holes anywhere.(Round played: Sep 2017 - Score: 94 Handicap: 12.6)
