What the club says: Golf Del Sur is one of the biggest and best golf courses in Tenerife. It has 27 holes and a wealth of natural features to test the keenest golfer. Pepe Gancedo designed the original course in 1987 but in 2005 top Spanish player Manuel Pinero gave it a facelift, converting the Links into par 36 and making it the the full Championship Course it is today. The stunning course, with its wide fairways and challenging water hazards makes the most of the dramatic natural features so artfully provided by Mother Nature, weaving round ravines and volcanic sand traps and dipping towards the sea. The edge of the course skirts along protected San Blas Ravine, a popular walk for hikers and bird watchers and the course itself, features a wide range of trees and plants popular with the local wildlife.

The course is undergoing huge amounts of developments and changes, so you now play a composite of the front 9 on the North and back 9 on the Links. The Links is easily the superior course but still enjoyed the round. Worth taking a buggy as some walks between holes and it is undulating. Fabulous views from the links course. Definitely worth playing if you are in the area.Reviewer Rating

Very Windy and Long Waits
Course is undergoing a load of renovation and as such spoilt what was a great course. Here on holiday . Sadly 5.30 hrs to complete a course plus nearly got hit by the following group meant a frustrating and slightly anxious roundReviewer Rating

Excellent
7th time this year I have played here on 3 separate trips. Staff friendly and professional. The course is excellent, they are the only greens watered in Tenerife so you can go flag hunting in 30-degree heat. The only downside was the food/drink buggy was not working on the days we were there

Management don’t care
Ironically we were told we couldn’t play 9 on the north nine due to maintenance. However we encountered diggers, lorry’s and chain saws on the links 9 and it spoiled the round. Manager still not got back to me for 2 days - email and called in to discuss - perhaps in hiding ! Play elsewhere is my recommendation.Reviewer Rating

Interesting course offering something different.
Interesting course with quite a few blind shots. Good mix of different types of holes. The greens are in good condition. Summer rates are much more reasonable than the winter.Reviewer Rating

Great course worth playing
Second time playing Golf Del Sur and some changes made since I was last here. Namely the South (Sur) course is now wasteland so it's now a 18 holer comprising of the North (Norte) and Links course. It's quite a well run set up, friendly staff in the shop, nice bar area, good practice facilities with driving range, chipping and putting greens. Starter to make things go like clockwork and course marshallers making sure pace of play is kept too. Now only downside is that tee times are only 8 mins apart so certain times of the day can lead to a bit of waiting but my round kept going with only a couple of waiting on tees. Courses in reasonable nick with the North course showing some wear and tear especially on some greens. The Links in my opinion is the nicer and harder of the two. I will keep on returning as always enjoyable day out.(Round played: Mar 2022 - Score: 77 Handicap: 6.2)

Good but not great. Very slow round.
Granted we played at 1.30 pm but 3 hours for 9 holes is slow in anyone's book. We left the course after the 16th green at 6.30 so potentially a 6 and a half hour round. Marshall patrolled the course but took no action to speed up play. Some spectacular views and well laid out holes, black sand bunkers and fast, but not immaculate, greens made for a challenging and interesting game. Reasonable practice facilities and pro shop but constant noise of low flying planes from adjacent airport was a deterrent. Would play again at a much quieter time. The club seemed more focused on getting punters out on the course than looking after them.Reviewer Rating

NIce course to play whilst on holiday
Golf Del Sur GC has 3 x 9 holes Links, Norte and Sur. I played the Link/Norte combo. Quite impressed really, well laid out tracks, some thinking holes, good condition, greens very good. A little up and down so buggy would be recommended for some. Friendly staff, good food in clubhouse. Overall I would recommend a round here if staying in the area, i'll be back sometime to play the Sur 9.(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 79 Handicap: 6)

Great course to play on holiday
In total my son and I played the South and North course 5 times over a two week period. The course is beautiful with some very tricky holes, especially hole no 2 on the North course, it's a par 3, distance 172m and the green is surrounded by one big bunker, both of us made the green once during our 5 rounds.
The course is tended well, the green staff are out on the course all the time looking after it.
The Golf shop attached to the course has some really good deals on golf clubs, my son bought a brand new Scottie putter saving ?80 on the UK price at American golf.
I bought a Callaway Driver saving ?150.00
There is no need to cart your golf clubs to Tenerife paying silly airport baggage costs, the club shop will supply a full set of clubs for ?50 per week, and they range from Ping, Callaway, Taylormades, all the top brands. Definitely worth it.
We paid for 5 rounds of 18 holes and buggies and it came to ?300 euros per person, that was the cheapest way to do it.
The changing rooms are excellent, with shower facilities and lockers, I couldn't believe how clean it was.
After every round we went to the club house had a few beers and a club sandwich, which I would recommend, the lady looking after the bar was lovely, nothing was too much trouble.
Great club sandwich for ?10 euros definitely worth it.
We have booked to go again next August to play another 5 rounds and hopefully the links course will be open, as it was under renervation whilst we were there.
Being picky, the only down point, is sometimes you get stuck behind a four ball who are locals, who hack there way around the course going from left to right searching for balls and refuse to let you past.
On my last day my son and I were waiting to play each shot between 10 to 15 minutes, as you can imagine it was very frustrating, we did complain to the course Marshall when he appeared, by then there only thee holes left, so there was nothing he could do.
On finishing our round I went into the club house to speak to four ball but they had disappeared quickly, obviously not using there club facilities.
But overall 9 out of 10, great course.????

Very scenic course
Three things to start with. It gets windy here. Don't use your best clubs out of the bunkers. If hills and heat aren't your thing then get a buggy. There are 27 holes, but during my time here the Norte 9 was closed for maintenance. The Sur and Links however were both open and well worth playing. Both have great views of the mountains and the coast, and while a number of holes have fairly accommodating fairways, there are a few which do not suit a driver. The greens were excellent, and the condition of the fairways and greens weren't far behind.
There are a lot of very pretty holes on both sets of nines, and while low scores are possible, there are plenty of opportunities to rack up a big score too.
The cost per round (in June) was €52, which is reasonable compared to a lot of Spanish courses. Three round tickets were available for €142, which brings the price down a little.
