Wow, tough but beautiful
A truly beautiful course in a outstanding setting 30 minutes outside of Lisbon in Portugal. Yet for that said it is one tough course to take on. Very picturesque with some water to avoid and the condition was very good. The greens are fast and slopey and you need a true reading if you want to score well here. The hotel and rooms are comfortable and well equipped, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was wholesome, plentiful and delicious. A great weeks golfing break and would happily recommend and return.Reviewer Rating

Campo Real Total Disappointment
Played today and for the first time walked off after 11 holes completed not weather related. Greens very nice, layout looks great but that's the only positives. Fairways not cut and absolutely no definition between fairways and rough. Tees not cut either and very unlevel, in some places lots of sand laid down and many bare patches on the fairways. I appreciate they only want to use reclaimed rainwater to water the course but no point if this is going to ruin a potentially very good course. I wonder what the architect Martin Ebert would think of the current situation.Reviewer Rating
