What The Club Says
This was the first course to open on the Eastern Algarve. Designed by Sir Henry Cotton he decided to make the old church the clubhouse, which sits proudly in the middle of the complex. The course offers some fantastic sights with the mountains of Barrocal to the North and the Atlantic Ocean to the South. The course isn't particularly long at just over 6,000 yards but it plays like a rhythmic beat. Both sets of nine start and end in view of the clubhouse and each nine get tougher as you go along. Scattered with olive, carob, fig and cork trees, a walk around this course is like a walk through the glory of nature.

Well worth golf course
Nice old style golf course. Not too difficult, with very exciting holes.A lot of space to play slices/hooks.

Henry Cotton design worth playing
I always enjoy Benamor. It is walkable, challenging, but doesn't beat you up, like, say, a Pete Dye course. Greens in decent shape & traps are raked/prepared well. Fun course.Reviewer Rating

Very Busy Course
Due to its proximity of being the nearest course East of Faro to Tavira it’s busy with Northern Europeans and can be slow with golfers in buggies which aren’t really needed as it’s an easy walk and quite short.(Round played: Jan 2022 - Score: 86 Handicap: 16.8)
