What the club says: The Omaha Beach Golf Club was founded in 1985 by Guy Dupont and was designed by the famous golf architect, Yves Bureau who designed many golf courses in France and Egypt.

It offers three 9-hole courses : "The Sea", with its 6th hole overlooking the English Channel at the charming fishing port of Port en Bessin ; "The Pond" quite challenging, and for the more experienced golfer ; "The Hedgerow" featuring shades of different greens and rhododendrons.

Flattered by one photo hole

We only played this course because of the name and the photo of the one and only hole by the sea, and even that is uninteresting until you get on the green.
We took the opportunity to go into the German war bunker by the green as no-one was behind us. It was the only memorable thing about the round.

Played at the begining of September as a group with Brittany Ferries which keeps the price down a little but to be honest parts of the Manoir were in fairly poor condition especially the bunkers which on some holes were unplayable, for the price we expected better.

Beautiful cours - immaculately kept with stunning views over Omaha Beach and the fishing port of Port-en Bessin. Not too difficult off line but greens are very tricky and quick. Beware of bunkers with plenty of stones in them...Why???

Another golf trip to France with Brittany Ferries to this excellent 36 hole complex. we played both courser in contrasting weather conditions !!! however both are in very good condition. Just one word of advice if you play a ball into the long grass don`t bother looking for it we did not find one in two days!!!!!

First away day of the year took us back to an old favourite at Omaha Beach GC. Excellent facilities both on and off the course but would work out expensive on a stand alone. Excellent deal via Brittany Ferries who come highly recommended for golf in France and Spain. Played late afternoon and the course was empty. Greens a wee bit patchy in places but they will come right as the season wears on. Stunning course with stunning views on some holes and very respectful naming of holes in honour of the D-Day veterans. Well worth a play especially as part of a package.Day 2 to follow !

Yet again another course in France which was empty! It was well maintained. Greens were very good and very fast. 2 small moans, no signage to show hole on tees. Also the the rough 10 yards off the fairway was very thick.

Played both courses last week and i have to say i loved them both. The Sea course was great with stunning views from the 6th green. Great greens!! Only problem was we walked and my poor dad was shattered at the end.
The Manor course was my favorite with some fantastic holes and plenty water. This course proves you dont need a long course for it to be difficult. Again the greens were fantastic but a buggy is a must.
Lovely clubhouse with very helpful staff. Not long till i return!!

Great coures this is the fourth or fith time we have played it and it does not get any easier with a brute of an 18th!!!! Buggies are a must as its a long way between greens to tees the bunkers are in a poor state but hopefully this is because of the heavy rain in April
