What The Club Says
The Omaha Beach Golf Club was founded in 1985 by Guy Dupont and was designed by the famous golf architect, Yves Bureau who designed many golf courses in France and Egypt.
It offers three 9-hole courses : "The Sea", with its 6th hole overlooking the English Channel at the charming fishing port of Port en Bessin ; "The Pond" quite challenging, and for the more experienced golfer ; "The Hedgerow" featuring shades of different greens and rhododendrons.

Flattered by one photo hole
We only played this course because of the name and the photo of the one and only hole by the sea, and even that is uninteresting until you get on the green.We took the opportunity to go into the German war bunker by the green as no-one was behind us. It was the only memorable thing about the round.

First away day of the year took us back to an old favourite at Omaha Beach GC. Excellent facilities both on and off the course but would work out expensive on a stand alone. Excellent deal via Brittany Ferries who come highly recommended for golf in France and Spain. Played late afternoon and the course was empty. Greens a wee bit patchy in places but they will come right as the season wears on. Stunning course with stunning views on some holes and very respectful naming of holes in honour of the D-Day veterans. Well worth a play especially as part of a package.Day 2 to follow !
