With a reputation for great year-round conditioning, Houlgate starts off tightly, with some very precise iron play required through trees and over lots of water. The 6,124 yard, par 71 layout then opens out to reveal those fantastic views.

The course is a very good course to play, the club shop needs to be improved and the toilets up dated, but the guy who runs the bar/cafe is very good and the food is very good value for the money

course in good condition despite wet winter. Many improvements including reordering the holes. Some works still to complete.
