What the club says: Widely recognized as the finest links course in France, Belle Dune is located amongst the towering sand hills of Fort Mahon Plage on the Côte Picarde. This 6,434 yard Par 72 championship course was designed by the Italian Jean-Manuel Rossi in 1992 and compares favourably with many of the great links layouts in the UK & Ireland. The course has its own special atmosphere, with beauty coming in the shape of some breathtaking scenery, as well as some wonderfully manicured holes. Each fairway is flanked by gorse and long grass, meaning, as with many links courses, a solid strategy from the tee will be rewarded. The wind is also a factor, as the coastal breeze forms the natural defence against low scoring at Belle Dune. The complex itself is a treat for the golfer and non-golfer alike. Belle Dune boasts a covered practice range, golf tuition and a fine clubhouse restaurant. Tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool can also be found on site.

2nd course as part of a long weekend in Le Touquet. Definitely not as good and interesting as the others. Many good holes and beautiful surroundings though.

very tough pin positions

great looking course, pins on front 9 greens all seemed to be at the crest of undulating greens, which made reading the putts a true test!!!
A very good , challenging course!

Played this Saturday morning on the way home. Only 30 minutes from the tunnel. Excellent course with fantastic greens and signature last hole over water.

Hidden gem - must play

Due to maintenance being undertaken at the more well known courses up the road we decided to play at Belle Dune having read reviews on Golfshake. What a decision that was !

The course is based within a Eco Village/holiday home parc and set within a forest with a few holes going towards the sea and set within the dunes. The course is extremely well laid out providing variety, no 2 holes the same, a decent test and something just a little bit different. When we played in March the greens were slightly slower than you would expect but still fast, true and with some tough slopes - I'd imagine in warmer weather they would be extremely fast and tough!

Our group was extremely surprised with this course and this is one definitely worth adding to the list if you ever play golf in this area. The layout is great fun and it is always nice when you play a course where you can't really see the hole you've just played or the next hole you will play.

Highly recommend and a must visit for all abilities.

Interesting and challenging

Stunning views, well maintained and plenty of interest. The only downside is long walks between tees.

Amazing Course

Played this course on a weekend trip to France. The course was in excellent nick and very challenging in places. I would recommend to anyone visiting Le Touquet to make the trip to Belle Dune and give this a go.

Fantstic split-personality course starting through narrow, pine forest-lined holes suddenly opening up to more traditional sandy, rolling links holes with penal rough before returning to forest and water hemmed holes. Greens in average condition, quite pitted and sandy but fairways in beautifu condition. Played annually over last few years and always a real challenge.

Played here on a boys golf trip and we were all very impressed with the course. Definitely worth a visit. The only issue was the speed of play. We were advised by the pro shop that the round would not be fast because of a club competition but the first 9 was ok. However, we caught up with the competition for the back 9 and it was the slowest 9 of my life!! we got so tired of waiting that our two groups of 3 combined to play a 6 ball in the hope the group in front of us would pull away, but they did not. We were still waiting for about 10 minutes on each tee. I have never known anything like it. Did rather spoil the round. it was over 3 hours for the back 9.

However, the course is lovely, the facilities excellent and I would recommend it, but try to avoid any club competition days!!!!
