Mr
A public run golf course but in good condition. The course was in the process of being cut so we had a mixture of playing surfaces to contend with.Greens were all recently cut and were a pleasure to put on. Cut fairways were in good running condition even after rain the day before.
Rough was difficult to play from as it was at the early stages of cutting.
My first time of playing but my playing partner use to be a member 40 years ago so his help was essential as the layout is quite difficult to figure out. Some better visitors signage would be beneficial.
Clubhouse was close as it was Monday but Pro shop has seats and tables serving tea ,coffee etc and a selection of snacks.
Staff on duty [2] were very helpful both before and after play with information and shop service.
Game was organised as an nostalgic outing for my playing partner as we live in South Ayrshire its a bit far to play on a regular basis but hopefully will play again as it was a good course and great value for money.
