WENSUM COURSE: Unbeatable Value
Played the Wensum course in September after a hot summer (although it had been raining on and off for the previous 3 weeks). The greens were in great condition, if rather uniform and flat, tee boxes were decent but some of the fairways were poor. The front 9 was nothing to write home about, lots of bare patches on the fairways and verging on dull, but the back 9 was something else. The back 9 mainly runs along the river Wensum which seemed to really improve the condition of the fairways and the scenery was spectacular in parts, some of this course I would consider to be some of the prettiest golf I have ever played and at £25.00 for 18 holes, even with the lackluster front 9, I can't think of anywhere that offers better value. I will be coming back for sure.Reviewer Rating

Could be so much better
Used the range the range balls are shocking, greens and tee boxes are very good like most courses I believe the fairways are very poor, so much potential with the courses they haveReviewer Rating

Stayed in hotel which was fine, good food & bar area with snooker
& ???? pool tables.
Very good value for a short break.

Wensum Valley Golf Course
Played the Valley course on a hot & sunny day, despite the recent weather and no rain the greens were good and fairways although very firm still playable.Reviewer Rating

Lovely as always
Course in very good nick with fantastic greens. Weather has made fairways grass very sparse in places but that’s English weather.Lovely stay, fantastic food and hospitality first class.
Only gripe is the buggy prices which are a little too steep

Wensum & Valley courses
Wensum course is interesting & a good test of Golf.There are water holes, the bunkers are good quality, greens very undulating.
Valley course not quite as good as the Wensum course, feels more closed in.
Facilities are decent, food is good without being special, snooker and pool tables to use ?1 for 10 mins with light on.
Accommodation fine with clean rooms and nice showers.
Enjoyable mini break, but wouldn't play Valley course again.
