What the club says: The Club, originally founded in 1895, is situated at the southern end of the Lake District overlooking Morecambe Bay. It has been at this location close to the quaint village of Bardsea alongside the coast road to Barrow-in-Furness since 1910.

Ulverston Golf club
Good facilities, friendly people. The course is challenging for the mid to high handicappers. Plenty of variety on holes, challenging par 4's (3, 6, 12, 15, 17, 18), difficult par 3 (14 ) but then some well protected easier par 4's and 3's. The course is well managed and the greens are probably some of the best in Cumbria. Good days golf with a nice bar and food available.Reviewer Rating

Cumbrian Discovery Marvelous Views
Course has wonderful views of the Cumbrian hills and estuary near Barrow in Furness. Most holes are up or down hill with added challenge on 5, 17 and 18!! Rugged landscape of trees and limestone rock, requiring tee shots at marker post.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 96 Handicap: 17.3)

A Jones
Played today for the first time. We received a warm welcome in he pro shop. The course was in good condition generally. The course had several blind tee shots so quite tricky when playing the course for the first time. There are some lovely holes with great views of the surrounding coast and countryside. Post golf we enjoyed a pint and some food all reasonably priced. This is a good course, I would recommend a round here.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 84 Handicap: 6.7)

Not a fault to be found at Ulverston
I play here annually with a society and always look forward to this fixture.The welcome from staff and members is warm
And hospitable and the facilities excellent.
The course is very well
Laid out and maintained to a high standard. It's a shame it is where it is geographically as I'm sure it would be more popular if more accessible to many.
Fairways, greens and views make this a must visit for at least one round to say you've been.

Fabulous Course
Course in excellent condition despite very heavy rainfall overnight. Bunkers had some water in them but greens and fairways were really good. Best condition the course has been in since I have been a member.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 80 Handicap: )

Great course
Had the annual Society Day here and the club is as great as ever.A warm welcome from the club president and Bev running the bar and catering.
The course itself was in excellent condition, fantastic fairways, acceptable rough and the greens very well maintained and manicured. They were a bit slower than we expected but still good.
There?s a number of interesting and challenging holes that keep you concentrating and questioning the club choice!!
The views add to the experience as does the clubhouse and facilities available.
I'm going back sooner rather than later as I can't wait until next years Society day. I recommend the course and do your research, the last two holes require checking

Fantastic course
The course is a great condition at the min. The fairways are nice and tight and the semi has been cut so you have 1/2 a chance before it goes into the rough. If you end up in the rough your in the lap of the gods because it is mega rough in places. You'd be wise to spend some time on the putting green as this is a measure of the actual greens. So if you think the putting green is quick wait till you get on the actual greens as they are like lightning. So best you have a real read before you put or you will be in trouble. As ever the views were fantastic which made up for an average round. Easily the best time of the year to come and play this course you will not be disappointed. ????Reviewer Rating

First time playing this wonderful course in one of there open competitions. Great value for money. Friendly welcome in pro shop and clubhouse. The views a spectacular across Morecambe Bay and towards the Lake District. The course itself was in great condition, greens true, some quite difficult to read. Some great holes, few blind drives as you would expect from this undulating course. Hilly in places but a nice walk around given the views on offer. Great finishing hole down to the clubhouse. Would I play here again, oh for sure.

Ulverston Golf Club is arguably one of the best courses in South Cumbria and features some incredible views to add. The course is a parkland and offers a great variety of treelined holes and testing greens. The staff in the pro shop and on the bar are friendly to give you a warm welcome upon arrival. very nice course with great views. i feel the greens could be better but i played in the winter so they wer very wet. should have had temp greens. hope there better in the summer.

This is one of the best courses if not the best in Cumbria. The views are constantly spectacular and the course is always kept in good condition. Nothing is better than playing on a course with thousands off huge trees and well maintained greens, and to echo a previous persons comment, the 17th hole is a real hole!

This is a beautiful course with wondeful views. The course is a stiff task to the handicapper but very fair. The greens are magnificent and are very consistent throughout the hole course with little or no variation in speed. All in all a very enjoyable round of golf is to be enjoyed for the low to mid handicapper. The 17th hole is an absolute gem.
