Challenging in places worth a round.

Improving but pricey for the current conditions
This is the first time I?ve played Springhead in a couple of years, it used to be my go to course. The course does have an issue with drainage due to its location but after a reasonably dry spell we found a lot of boggy areas on numerous fairways. Some fairways were very long and more like short rough then fairway particularly the 8th. There was one temporary green on (12) the green looked very good but the temp was awful and basically a flag and hole in the ground with no effort to cut it short. Overall it is a challenge and I?d contemplate joining if they sort theses issues out, they are now charging summer green fees of ?16 but the conditions do not warrant the summer prices.

Good course

Great Value For Money
Lots of improvement being made, course has never been in such good nick. Good value for money, especially twilight at £10 a round(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 103 Handicap: )

Played well. Fairways just cut and lots of clippings left loose. Greens pretty true and improved on years past.

(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 94 Handicap: 20.5)

grounds still recovering from drainage works and greens have been prepared for winter, so not perfect conditions for golf but having said that it played well and the essential works will makes this course even better.
(Round played: Oct 2016 - Score: 90 Handicap: 20.7)

(Round played: Sep 2016 - Score: 88 Handicap: 0)

(Round played: Jul 2016 - Score: 110 Handicap: 28)
Course gerneraly good, enjoyed the round ,would play again

heavy rain days prior still causing standing water on course. greens in great condition.
(Round played: Jun 2016 - Score: 99 Handicap: 21.9)

A very demanding course fitness wise. Most holes are undulating so it takes it out of your legs. Lots of trees and bunkers but if you can hit it straight you should be ok.
