Lovely set up and a challenging course
My friend and I were on a golfing day out having played in the morning elsewhere, so we started with lunch in the luxurious modern club house at Hull GC. Wow the food was amazing, the staff so lovely and attentive and the interior is superb as is the lovely veranda. We then met the Pro Ben Brewster who was absolutely excellent and really looked after us in the really well stocked shop there. On the course we found it quite a challenge (my mate is off 6 and me 9) and enjoyed the layout and some of the challenges it gave us. The greens were a let down and not up to scratch for a ?50 course, but I know they are trying hard to bring them back up to their best and then this will be a course not to miss. Thanks to Ben and the bar staff for really looking after us !Reviewer Rating

Spacious well laid out parkland course

Course very enjoyable to play. In superb condition. Undulating fairways that create some semi blind shots, with rough and green side bunkers ready to grab any wayward approaches. Greens very true and a good pace, with lots of subtle breaks that gather any putt slightly off line. Typical parkland course with out of bounds in places (local residents back gardens) nice views and a course that will reward risk takers

What a gem of a course. Although my Nephew and I played Mid October 2015 when you would expect most courses to look a little tired after a long summer, this was not the case at this track. Quite the reverse. The fairways were sublime and gave the impression that you might contemplate hitting a driver off them if necessary. Although the greens had been scarified, which you would expect at this time of the year, they had been sanded and brushed but still putted smoothly, although a tad slower than normal.\The course is not a pushover with several plus 400 yard holes. Most holes are tree-lined so accuracy off the tee is at a premium.\The pro shop is well stocked and the reception by the staff was excellent. The clubhouse was what you would expect at a course of this high standard.

Really varied course, some interesting holes and in immaculate condition. Fast and deceptive greens. Can't really fault it. No idea about value for money as it was a freebie, but up in the £50 a round course.Reviewer Rating

Very nice golf course, but there is no driving range! So, the first 5 holes you are practicing and that ruins your score. Practice green is available. Pro shop suffers from depression and internet sales. Some holes are very close to streets or gardens which is a minus because golfers who are prone to slice or hook are better to tee off with a mid iron, which is a shame for this otherwise very nice course.
