Seaton Carew Golf Club was created in 1874 and has been lengthened to 22 holes with 2 course layouts, the Old, and Micklem. Both present a varied and challenging test with plenty of twists, turns, dunes, and bunkers.

A very good course on a disappointing day!
Really enjoyed playing the Micklem Course at Seaton Carew. We arrived and there was a thick fog over the course that we were told was going to lift but unfortunately, it only lifted slightly so visibility was poor for too much of the round. However, the course itself was in brilliant condition and was a nice challenge. We imagined on a better day we would have waxed lyrical about the course but being the fog hampered the full potential of the course. The greens were quick and the fairways were all challenging. Even if you can place your drives well it is still a challenge to stick on the green and avoid the bunkers. The staff were also excellent and welcoming. Will definitely be back and hopefully in brighter weather.Reviewer Rating

Superb course
Played this course on a very windy day in October. Although there was some major work being done on the course impacting a few holes, it was still a great experience to play a quality golf course. The fairways were running well and the greens were magnificent. It is easy to see why the course is hosting the English Mens Amateur Championships in 2024.Reviewer Rating

Great course that will get better
Played Seaton Carew for the first time and was very impressed. Tough challenge but the fairways and greens were superb. I played with a member and they informed me of some of the course improvements they have planned and it’s good now but I think will become great in the future. Only criticism I would have is the course layout which which felt a bit random at times, hence I was glad I was playing with a memberReviewer Rating
