Don’t bother

Probably the ugliest course in England. Set between huge gorse bushes hiding any view of the sea and a dystopian landscape consisting of a nuclear power station, rusting defunct oil rigs and heavy industry. Nasty! The course is very difficult with narrow fairways set in acres of ugly scrub and greens with more waves than the North Sea.

Went on society round. Enjoyed course and weather conditions. Mid COVID. Good all year course. This is on the sand dunes near Hartlepool.

Worst conditions i have ever played in but course was excellent, greens and fairways spot on!

Club house dated and we were not made to feel welcome! Only shoes allowed to be worn in clubhouse which is a joke in this day and age!!!

Great Links Course

I can never believe just how firm this course is in the winter, when many others are unplayable, but that's Links golf for you. Worth a visit at any time, one of the North East's best courses.

Amazing course beats all if the expensive parkland courses hands down true links.

Worth a visit

Wanted to play here for a while. Finally did it. Brabazon layout was a very tough challenge. Hit the ball straight to score well. Have to rate this as a top golf day out. I will remember the warm welcome from the locals and staff here. Food was also superb.
Monday visit at £50 for 2 is an absolute bargain. Must do again.

My second links course, the first 4 weeks ago just down the coast at Cleveland GC.
Doubled my score and really enjoyed the round. Will definitely return.

Tricky course, a must to keep on the fairway, good greens. Good friendly service. Home made food excellent from Bacon sarnies to meal after the round.

The old course is a fantastic course. The organisation and management of players is first class ensuring that the round flows with few delays. The course itself offers a range of challenges including menacing bunkers and tricky greens. 14 holes are shared but the sheer size of the greens means you are not impacted by other players. The final hole with crowds watching felt like you were on the final round of the open
