Welcoming, friendly and magnificent

Played both the West and East courses over 2 days, both are incredibly good and appropriately challenging, kept in exemplary condition with fast greens that can be difficult to hold. I lost my rangefinder and the team were very kind and helpful in getting it back. Breakfast very tasty, passes the sausage test. All in all, a top notch experience. View from the clubhouse down the 18th on the East one of the best in golf.

East and West

I had the pleasure of playing both courses last week in the sunshine with hardly any wind. What a glorious experience, the East is probably the tougher but the greens were a bit slow and patchy. The West was a bit easier but the greens were better. Both are a true test of golf and worth the trip.

Saunton reflects golf as it was played 100 years ago with no evidence of today’s heavy machinery. It was built by men with shovels, horses, and wagons and I understand the club today is restricted in the way it manages its maintenance programmes to protect the unique environment.

Best Course In Bournemouth and Devon Area

I've played all the courses in both Devon and Bournemouth Region and the East course is head and shoulders above the rest. It has a real mixture of lengths, angles to come in to pins and also considering the rain we have had this past week, the drainage means there wasn't 1 boggy area. Beautiful landscape, stunning holes, just a gem of a course

A gem of a golf club with 2 great courses

Lucky to be invited to play 3 rounds on consecutive days in gorgeous weather with minimal wind. Both courses are full of challenges and were in perfect condition.
