What the club says: Welcome to Portmore Golf Park set in the heart of North Devon on the outskirts of Barnstaple within 1 mile of the A361. 27 holes consisting of the 9 hole Landkey par 3 course and Barum 18 hole course. Whether you wish to become a member or pay and play on the day all visitors are welcome. The Dress code for the landkey course is smart casual and more traditional for the Barum course.

We have a 23 bay golf range, floodlit and fully undercover, using 'proper golf balls' with viewing area and seating for the family, a 'proper' putting and chipping green, selection of golfing accessories, clubs, shoes and trolley hire facilities, professional lessons, restaurant and bar.

Nice if you like hills!

Course built on side of hill and is therefore hilly! Greens good, fairways fine but need some directional poles if you don?t know the course, bunkers were GUR due to Covid and had been left and will take a lot of work to repair

Really Enjoyed It

First time we?ve played the course. Really enjoyed it. Some interesting holes (particularly 17 & 18), challenging without being too hard. Course in good condition although greens were a bit woolly. I other facilities used due to Covid. Will definitely play again

A really good course

We found this course while looking online, from the first phone call to arriving and playing the people there were very helpful. The course has some great views and I loved the 18th as a finishing hole, we will definately return to play again.

Nice course, great views

Enjoyable hilly course. In good condition when we played. Greens were ok, not the quickest, but all rolled true. Some great views from the top of the course.

Very, very blowy, greens in terrible nick with so much fresh sand on them, a relief to finish!

Save your money. The course is ok, but the greens are horrendous, no point in trying to read a putt. Not maintianed at all. The Tee boxes are like teeing off from a field. Only good thing about the course is the view.

Played this course whilst on holiday in Devon. Very friendly staff and members who were very helpful. We found the course quite challenging- very hilly in places. Many holes involving water and bunkers or both!! Well maintained course and lovely cakes and drinks afterwards.

Website suggests good greens but found them to be quite poor, the course is also quite well known locally for getting waterlogged. Good facilities otherwise and a nice mix of holes and slopes to play from

This is a very challenge course with a friendly
from nine and very narrow and hilly back nine.
As well has a nine holes par 3 with some long holes.

An enjoyable and challenging course with a lot of risk / reward holes that make it great for matchplay. The greens are in reasonable condition but are not ever going to be in mint condition as the course is run organically, no pesticides, etc. Very friendly clubhouse and good food too.

The back drop is lovely but the course was not great. Fairways needed cutting and the greens were like playing at your local park. Never hit a putter so hard to sink a 10 footer.
Not worth the money. Paid £25
