Closing down for good
Played Sapey today after a 5 month wait to return after last summer. Whole place looks absolutely gutted, staff upset and the course was dreadful. But as it would happen the reason for all of this is that it is being closed down forever at the end of the month! Turns out the “billionaire” isn’t true to his word after all.Mind you look at all of his other enterprises, they are going down the pan too. Chickens are finally coming home to roost evidently.
So sad to see Sapey go this way, totally mismanaged and misdirected since 2017. Tragic.

Absolutely stunning
Have been hearing good things about this course so decided to have a round. It is stunning! The condition of the course is possibly the best in Worcestershire with out doubt. Greens were firm true and fast, the rough was superb, fairways are easily the best I’ve played for a long time, loads of roll. The whole course is beautiful, well laid out and an easy round (12 handicap)All in all a super day and we will definitely be returning again soon.

Played Sapey as part of a society last weekend and we were all very impressed. The shop staff were friendly, food was very nice and the course was in superb condition.If you’re thinking of playing Sapey it’s an absolute gem of a course and you won’t be disappointed.
I enjoyed it so much I’m rebooking a 4 ball to come back and play again.

Superb
Played as part of a society and although the rough was extremely long (we were told that the rough mower is out of action by the shop staff) we all thought the course was superb. A nice mix of challenging different holes and an easy walk. The greens were fantastic! As were the fairways . All in all a very enjoyable course and the food was top notch. Exceptional
We played in the Seniors Open yesterday and had a wonderful day. The course was presented to a high standard, the pace of play was fair for such a large field of competitors, the food was great and we received a warm welcome from the staff. Sapey is a credit to the current owner who has a created a beautiful venue.My only regret is the distance from me. If it were closer we would certainly consider membership.

Great
We've had heavy rain past few days and course was wet in places as expected but to be honest we called a few courses and they were all closed so were really happy to get a game.Course is in good condition considering the recent weather. Breakfast was outstanding, the sausages at most places are terrible but these were the best I've tasted. It's clear that the attention to detail is important here.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent course with a variety of challenging holes. Plenty of water to think about which enhances the look of the course too. We have had a lot of rain when we played but the course seems to have handled it well, bunkers still playable too. There were some wet areas but not in the key parts of the course. Clubhouse has been upgraded and the dining area is huge. Staff very friendly.

Nice course
Myself and 3 friends meet up a couple of times a year for a round. We’re located all over UK so usually choose a Midlands based location. We’d arranged to play a course yet arrived to discover that it was closed due to being waterlogged.Rang Sapey and was delighted to get a 10:15am tee time. When we arrived we were all really impressed. Staff were very welcoming, Course was in great condition. Apparently they had 6 inches of snow only a week prior, we couldn’t believe it.
We enjoyed some great bar snacks and a drink before heading off.
A hidden gem for sure.

Really surprised of the condition of the course due to recent weather. Most holes tend to need a good drive off the tee. Par 3s were very good. Greens need a little work but im sure that will be dealt with asap

Good day out. Course is in good condition coming out of winter. Interesting variety of holes. Will be really challenging in the summer with trees in full leaf.

Great
Played sapey a few times over winter as my home course has rarely been open because of the poor weather. I have to say they’re doing a really good job keeping it in shape given the weather we’ve had.I’ve seen the extension to the clubhouse evolve and today it looked really good. Had a beer and curry after the round and the clubhouse feels like it is so much more modern and attractive.
I’ll be returning soon, we love playing here.

Great Place
Played a few courses this year and it’s understandable given the weather that most courses have struggled in one way or another, but not Sapey.Visited midweek and was blown away by how good condition it’s in. From tee to green it is very well presented. The greens were very good and the course played great.
Very well looked after by the entire staff from bar and catering staff to the manager who even put out our nearest the pin markers for us before we played.
A lot of investment is being made with the drainage and clubhouse. This place is a gem and looks like It will just get better.
Would 100% recommend playing this course.

Great course, plenty of challenges, especially around the lakes. Greens immaculate, the only issue related to some of the bunkers being very hard with little sand. Very few players on the course so pace of play was excellent. Very friendly clubhouse staff and plenty of options for food.

Great Course
Hadn’t payed here for a few years so was pleased that our society had chosen it for one of this years fixtures.To start, this was by far the best breakfast I’ve had at a golf club by far. Very nice.
The day was well organised, all buggies prepared, nearest pin & longest drive markers organised for us and food served promptly. Staff were very efficient and friendly.
Walk to the first tee is stunning, through the arches which were in full bloom. We started on time and the pace of play was just right. It’s clear that the course has had some investment since I last visited, it is in great condition, tidy and well kept. The greens were fabulous although were a little slower than they looked.
There are some really great holes and all of the par 3’s are pretty special.
The course in general is very attractive and a good yet fair challenge. I played to my handicap (12) on the day hitch I can’t complain about.
We sat on the balcony after the round for a couple of pints, it’s a stunning view. The range of drinks was good and the prices were more than acceptable. Again the staff were great and we were well looked after.
I’d highly recommended Sapey, our entire group had a great day out and it’s already been agreed to include it in next years callendar.

You simply won’t find better!
I’ve been playing this course for a number of years and whilst I’ve always enjoyed it, this year it has moved on in leaps. It’s hard to pinpoint what makes it so special but it seems that everything is top notch.The staff as always are friendly and professional and exceeded expectations again this time.
I played on a Tuesday and whilst the car park was busy, I didn’t get held up at all.
My only regret is not living closer so I could play it more frequently.
Well done Sapey and I hope to see you soon.

Very nice
Booked to play here last minute on a bit of a whim. What a great find.The course is absolutely fantastic with some really good holes. Found the back 9 more challenging. Pace of play was great, we weren’t held up and got around in 3:40mins.
Clubhouse atmosphere was really nice and the staff were cheery and looked after us very well.
We got chatting to the manager Gary who was telling us about the club and future plans which sound exciting.
We are relocating next year and think we’ve found our new golf club when we do.

Quite Exceptional
Played today following torrential rain last night and this morning and have to say the course played very well. I remember this being a wet course so really was very impressed.The greens were slick and true and the course presented very nicely.
I’m becoming very fond off this place, will definitely be back soon.
