What The Club Says

Designed originally by Tom Morris with later alterations to the course made by J H Taylor and James Braid, the current design has been constructed out of sandy hills covered with gorse and bracken and laced with grassy valleys, it is a tidy well kept Golf Course. It is also regarded as one of Norfolk's finest courses.

Lovely course, overpriced though if I'm honest. £180 for a two ball and buggy at twilight rates. Lovely chap in the pto shop, really helpful, friendly bar staff are a bonus!

Booking was very efficient. Pro shop welcome was warm, with our names actually printed on a list. A nice touch. 1st time visit with my wife. We thought the course was in superb condition despite very dry weather. The tees and greens were immaculate. Clearly a very caring Greenkeeper. Fairways were very well maintained. Many interesting holes, especially the lighthouse hole. Changes of elevation good and a mix of rough for wayward shots.. The location and views on a fine day are stunning. Ranked 82 on National Club golfer. We have played Little Aston (49), Beau Desert (57), Kington (68) and Hollinwell, Notts (19). We looked at Sheringham, but the surrounds and the 1st hole looked a mess. Our 1st choice next time would definitely be Royal Cromer. It is greatly underrated. Enjoy, but don't tell everyone!

Marvellous course

One of my favourite courses and the amount of work going on here means it should get better. It's a top 100 course for some very good reasons and you should get along here and find out why. Some excellent holes, some fabulous views. Lovely people make it work too.
