Little Gem worth a visit

Very friendly welcome even during the booking process... course was a nice course to play some good challenges. The greens are a bit worse for bird attack in places and a little wet. However they were still good to play. Loved it and will return to play again.

Decent value with discount

Booked through TeeoffTimes so got a good discount and paid £18 for the round. Course surprisingly wet in places with the ball picking up lots of mud. Plenty of interesting holes in a peaceful area. Friendly welcome in the pro shop. Would benefit from a few more yardage and direction signs around the course.

Good course.

There is too much slow play on a daily basis, ready golf should be introduced at all levels.

Some of the fairways in very poor condition, greens are Ok but very flat. Good course for a practice to build confidence, as short, flat and fairly easy. The 3 times I have been there either to practice or play, the Pro shops has been closed.

Reviewed Feb 5 2017

Played Feb 5th 2016. Course in fair condition for the time of year . Greens ran pretty well with all 18 in play and no temporary/frost holes . A little disease scarring but didn't affect the putts too much .
Paid £18 , a pound a hole . Remarkable value really . Tees ok but no definition of fairways to semi rough so we pick and placed through the course as we had the occasional plugged lie and muddy ball.
Tight fairways and smallish landing areas so although the card reads short at around 6000 yds accuracy is important and leaving the driver in the bag pays off on many holes .
The bunkers let the place down , they are poor to grim. I think most could be removed without detriment to the way it plays. I say this as an ex greenkeeper of some 35 yrs experience.
Nice pint in he clubhouse after and very good pulled pork bap and chips.
Will come back in the summer .
