What the club says: Swaffham Golf Club was established in 1922 as a 9 hole course. In September 2001 an additional 9 holes were opened, which transformed the course into an attractive and demanding 18 holes. Most of the new holes were carved out of an area of mature woodland and have blended well with the older part of the course. Being on Breckland the course remains well drained and on main greens when many other courses in the region are very muddy or closed.

Lovely test
Despite being relatively short don't be fooled this is a very tight course where being in the right position off the tee holds more value than blasting it miles out of position.Reviewer Rating

Great seasonal golf course
I've played 4 times now since moving to the area. Despite consistent heavy rain the course remains very well drained and in excellent winter condition. A few winter tees remain but many are on grass and winter greens are not In use. Staff and fellow golfers friendly and helpful. Looking forward to playing into the Spri g and Summer.Reviewer Rating

A Norfolk Gem

Played Friday evening tee time 4.50.Twilight price good value, course in lovely condition considering the weather we have had this summer.

As a Norfolk resident and member of Royal Cromer I believe that this is one of the best parkland courses In our county. The course is never dull, every hole presents a different challenge. The fairways are currently in very good condition and are lined by mature trees so accuracy is paramount. Greens run true and at a reasonable speed. A minor criticism on this visit was the bunkers which were hard packed below a thin layer of sand so not at their best. Food was good and the staff are also very welcoming.

Good deceptive country course
Looks tame but this course is well layout to help you get round in a reasonable time . But beware it is harder than it looks. Beautiful views with pine trees and open field in various places to enhance your round. Another Gem in Norfolk

Lovely Course
First time I have played here and I left very impressed by my experience. The course is extremely well maintained fairways, bunkers and greens. The layout is mature and well designed, very easy on the eye. No water hazards at all.
