What The Club Says
More than 100 years old, Ormskirk was laid out in the now peaceful west Lancashire countryside of Latham Park, although it was once the scene of some of the fiercest fighting throughout the English Civil Wars. Ormskirk is now known for its tight fairways, well guarded greens and water features, all of which conspire to provide a demanding but enjoyable round.
Set in 125 acres it has a total length of 6358 yards - par 70 (SSS 71). The front nine is regarded as one of the longest in Lancashire-North West.
Dress Code rules have recently been relaxed and are clearly displayed on the website.

Fantastic course well worth playing
Having played Ormskirk GC a few times now was looking forward to playing this well maintained course. Usual friendly welcome in the pro shop and club house. Nice bacon butty and coffee to start the day. Excellent practice area near pro shop and large putting green in front of the clubhouse. The course as usual was in great condition and greens mint and fairly quick. One thing about Ormskirk is how subtle some of the breaks are on the greens, you think you've got a straight putt but no, but still a joy to putt on. Some cute par 3s on the back nine especially the 14th and 17th. Hopefully I will be back sometime soon if only to master the greens.Reviewer Rating

GREAT COUNTRY PARK COURSE
Fabulous setting, smooth fairways but don't deviate as trees and rough tricky.Greens in excellent condition with some slight slopes

Fantastic course well worth playing
First time playing Ormskirk GC and mighty impressed I was. Friendly welcome in clubhouse, great practice facilities near to clubhouse, large putting green. Course condition was superb, greens like carpets. Some longish par 4s which you need to be on fairway as trees come into play quite often. Easy walk around, all on the flat. Great golf course
Great golf course in equally good condition. Long par fours unless you're a big hitter. Lots of bunkers so that tee shots need some thought. Tricky par threes with well protected greens.Reviewer Rating
