What the club says: The Monmouthshire is a course that suits all levels of golfer and indeed all ages. The course is set against the beautiful scenery of the Usk valley. It is surrounded by the Blorenge, Sugar Loaf and Skirrid Mountains. It is a superb example of a mature parkland course which, from the back tees can be as tough as it is beautiful, and it is said to be the oldest 18 hole golf course in the County of Monmouthshire. The River Usk runs alongside the 6th hole and it is bordered by agricultural land which gives a real country feeling.

Very Enjoyable Course
Very Enjoyable and Challenging Course

Attractive course in lovely surroundings

Very enjoyable Course
Dry day, good weather conditions, greens excellent for time of year. Course relatively empty so play was not held up at all.(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 96 Handicap: 23)

(Round played: Dec 2016 - Score:

Frustrating that leaves covered semi rough and large parts of some fairways that made hunting for your ball (even from relatively good straight shots) difficult at times. Greens excellent and good challenging interesting course.
(Round played: Oct 2016 - Score: 101 Handicap: 27.6)

Lovely course, enjoyed the back nine as I played some good golf, a mature course with lots of character, would definitely recommend and play again
(Round played: Oct 2016 - Score: 93 Handicap: 17.3)
