What The Club Says
Lindrick is an excellent test for golfers of all standards - the greens are firm and fast, the course is open throughout the year and in winter playing conditions are particularly good. Temporary greens are rare and the fine fairways make preferred lies unnecessary other than in the wettest years. The golf course is unusual in that it finishes with par 3, rated by some as one of the best finishing holes in golf.

Twilight Round
Had a wonderful evenings golf at Lindrick, thanks to the recent rain the fairways are looking much greener after being baked all summer, greens and tee boxes are brilliant as always.Friendly staff and a great atmosphere, what more can you ask!

Fabulous Course and Clubhouse
We were made welcome by both members and staff the minute we arrived in the carpark! Had time for a bite of lunch before we went out on the course, despite the very challenging weather conditions, the tees, greens and bunkers were all in very good conditionReviewer Rating

Excellent
We had a truly wonderful day at Lindrick on Thursday and here is my review. From the moment we arrived, the welcome at the pro shop from Rachel was great. Julie behind the bar was marvellous and really helpful throughout the day, and we crossed paths with a couple of your green keepers out on the course who were friendly and approachable. The food was excellent too - a really nice touch to round off the day.
As for the course itself - I have to be honest, I'm not sure the rankings (4th in Yorkshire, 82 in England) do it justice. I've played the courses ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd a number of times and don't agree with where Lindrick sits relative to them. In fact, the course currently ranked number one left me pretty disappointed - overhyped for a supposed top ten course in England.
A bit of context: my playing partner and I are working through the current Mainland Open Championship courses. I have two left - Muirfield and the Old Course (booked in for next year) - and he has just Muirfield remaining. We played Troon, Prestwick and Dundonald Links back in May, and in all honesty the greens at Lindrick were the best I can remember playing on - genuinely amazing. The tees were green too, and despite the prolonged hot, dry weather, the course was in excellent condition. The burnt fairways and firm, fast bounce didn't detract from our enjoyment at all.
So thank you to you and your team - a truly wonderful day with no complaints, other than my own golf! The way we judge a course is simple: would we want to be a member? All three of us said yes without hesitation, and we're already looking forward to coming back, even with a three-hour round trip each way.

The course played incredibly well, with every hole offering something unique. Considering the recent heatwave, the greens and tee boxes were in immaculate condition. We both thoroughly enjoyed the day from start to finish. The hospitality in the bar afterwards was excellent, and the personalised welcome note at the entrance was a lovely touch that made us feel genuinely welcomed. I would highly recommend the club to anyone.

Why today?
We had been looking forward to playing Lindrick for almost a year after getting the round as a gift for fathers day 2025. I have nothing but praise for your staff and members who made us so welcome. Unfortunately the weather on the day we had booked to play was unbearable. Suffering the highest temperatures ever recorded in the UK for June, and being out over the hottest part of the day made trying to enjoy the course almost impossible, hence only a score of 8. Sensibly we should have tried to cancel our round, and rebook something later. However my son and I had included the round in a two day trip, and had travelled from County Durham. The voucher we had would expire in September 2026, and it was almost impossible for us to arrange another date before then.Enough of my moaning, as obviously you could do nothing about the weather we encountered.
Once again thank you to your staff and members that we met, and hopefully we can return on a better day, to truely enjoy your course.
