A joy to play
Away on a short holiday in the area, my son and myself turned up for a round last Thursday. Met by a very pleasant lady in the Pro Shop, we booked in for round on what proved to be a very nice course.Despite there being very heavy rain in the area for the previous couple of days, we found it to be in very good condition, and although not visually great, the greens were excellent - rolling true and most interesting to putt on.
A couple of holes do criss cross and some may find these holes not easy to follow. The overall layout is interesting and offers much variety.
The staff in the Pro Shop were extremely pleasant and we had a good chat with them after we finished. All in all a really good, enjoyable afternoons golf and would definitively recommend a round if you’re in the area.

A Joy To Play
Staying in the area, we decided to play Holsworthy despite the heavy rain of the past couple of days. What a good decision.The rain started just as we were about to tee off, but stopped halfway down the first fairway, never to be seen again during the round.
The course was both interesting and a pleasant walk. The greens although not looking anything special were a delight. Nice subtle borrows and ran smoothly and true. Some challenging holes and a couple that were a bit meh, but overall a cracking course, enjoyable for all I would say. A couple of criss cross holes have the potential to catch out the visitor. Considering the heavy rain of the past couple of days, the course was remarkably dry.
We had a lovely conversation with the couple in the Pro Shop and it was good to hear the club is well supported by both members and the local community.

Worth a visiting
The course was in reasonable conditions although some of the fairways has been sand slit and the grass had died of it was done when the ground was very wet and the grass has not recovered the greens and teeboxes are in fair condition.Reviewer Rating

Nice parkland course
Played at Holsworthy on 10 August in very hot sun with very little breeze.Tee boxes were hard with not too much grass.
Fairways were hard with brown grass.
Green were fast and true and a pleasure to putt on.
Bunkers has plenty of soft sand which made easier to get out of.
Course was in excellent condition bearing in mind the lack of rain for the last two months.

Well Maintained
Despite many weather challenges, the ground staff have kept this course pretty good, fairly easy walk, quite forgiving in many parts, but that does not make it easy. My partner and I got our handicaps here by playing six rounds for £100 each. Staff nice all round and well mannered members, it has been a pleasure to play here for a week.Will visit again and would recommend.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 91 Handicap: 20.8)

Teeing off mats all round not a particular issue, but a slight frustration preventing use of full length tees. Course in very good condition considering recent rain and open to buggies. Bacon bap and coffee good value, delicious to boot! Very warm reception, as alwaus.

Managed to play this course with a Groupon voucher which made it excellent value for money. Although quite a short course it is a good test for golfers of all standards, greens, bunkers, tees and fairways were all very goodcondition. Friendly clubhouse, would definitely recommend.

I played Holsworthy, using my Open Fairways card, only £25 each with a buggy. Locals/members were very helpful and friendly as was the club shop pro, and bar staff. The course was in a great condition and had some very interesting designed holes.
I would definitely play again when in the area.

A Very friendly and well maintained course, the greens were exceptional. Will definitely play again and recommend to all my golfing friends. Will inform my captain to see if we could arrange a match against them for next season.

Played as a visitor on holiday. Lovely course in great condition. Greens firm and fast. Some excellent holes and not too penal if your drive misses the fairway. Probably the flattest easiest course to walk in the area. Members and staff very friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable and would highly recommend.

A friendly club with a reputation for an extremely well kept course. I have played on championship courses that were in worse condition. Don't worry too much about bunkers, because there aren't too many - look out for the grassy mounds at the side of the fairways though. It is a course that is fair and will suit even the highest handicapper. You are always made to feel welcome. Food in the clubhouse is always of a high standard. Try it...

Quite a nice course, well maintained and pleasant surroundings. The greens were in good condition, albeit a little on the slow side, putts do run true, bunkers in good condition.

The course was in excellent condition when I played it. The pro was polite and ready to assist with letting me take out a demo club. The fairways were excellent, and the green ran true without almost any bumps. I would play this course again when next in that neck of the woods
