Great course in the dy
Was great to play Hawarden in the dry as it made the course much more enjoyable. In fat all was great . 10 out of 10. Staff are excellent and greens were very good also.Reviewer Rating

Extremely muddy course
I was extremely disappointed with the state of the course at hawarden when we played yesterday. there are extremely muddy parts and the green were mixed with some fairly swift and others at best woollyReviewer Rating

August jaunt
Course was in good condition despite the rain thats fell. Greens were perfect, it was the golfer at fault. Played last year and had to return, which hopefully i will do next year.Reviewer Rating

Returning Member
The course has definitely improved in the 3 years I have been away. The greens are now very good but slow to my lower handicap partners but very good for me. Teeing areas are being renovated but are suffering from the dry conditions, but with the new greens staff they will improve noticebly.Reviewer Rating

Very hilly and not very long but full of character and some lovely looking holes. Elevated par 3s with pretty back drops.
Some blind shots, it's not the longest course so will suit most handicaps. Personally for me I don't enjoy having to walk distances from the green to the next tee and on occasions it does happen but the course condition on the day was very good, lush cut fairways and not too heavy rough. Bar staff really friendly and reasonably priced ????

Take a course planner!
Quite a mature and hilly course and reasonably tight as well. A few blind holes so a course planner would be useful. Last 5 holes fairly flat but the 18th is a bit of a suprise. Greens quite slow when we played.Reviewer Rating

They need to have white stakes to denote the out of bounds between the 6th and 7th hole. At the moment it just says on or over the fairway

a challaging course that test your nerve
a well maintained course which could do with a little couse investment but is a credit to the green staff and their supporting membersnothing to much trouble everyone went the exstra mile to make it a great round of golf

Course was in good condition considering the time of year. Greens were very good. The 18th is one of the best par 3s I have ever played. Very friendly members. Buggy hire was the cheapest I have paid this year.

A great day had by all.
Myself and a group of 12 came here from Manchester last week. We all really enjoyed the course and were made to feel really welcomed. We also had a really nice meal afterwards. Thanks for a great day.We have booked ourselves in for a visit next year already!

Tricky target golf and in top condition!
This is the first time I've played Hawarden and although it's not especially long, there's lots of challenging, interesting holes which require a strategic plan and top course management. it was in excellent condition from tee to the excellent but relatively slow greens.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 84 Handicap: 14.3)

Grateful for an invite. Great course with many visually memorable holes such as 1st, 8th, 9th (great view of Hawarden Village) and specially the 18th - is there a better finishing hole? No two holes are the same. Greens superb and fairways lush. Couple of niggles- not an easy walk - v hilly in places and 14th hole is daft, just a tee mown in a field.Round 79 H'cap 10
