What the club says: Most would say that the oldest links courses are the best, and at over 100 years old, Greencastle would certainly lay claim to that. A superb course set on the Inishowen Peninsula, it boasts a beautiful scenic setting with views up to the Mountains of Derry and the Hills of Donegal.

An unsung hero of the Irish golf scene! Described to me by staff as a 'half links' course - it used to be a 9 hole links but they expanded inland to create a fabulous 18 hole course that offers an interesting and varied challenge from start to finish with some of the most spectacular views I've seen on a golf course. Right up my street - and I'm sure many others too (whatever your HC).

A fairly short course on the East coast of the Inishowen peninsula in Donegal. Just up the coast from the ferry crossing to Magilligan in the North it has some fantastic views across Lough Foyle along the north coast to Benone, Mussenden, Portstewart and beyond. A couple of lovely holes (the par 3 6th and par 4 12th) run right along the coast with the beach in play!! Overall a fun little course to play, and a tough test on a really windy day.
