What The Club Says
Established in 1895, Goring & Streatley Golf Club is an 18 hole, par 71 golf course set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Berkshire with panoramic views of the Thames Valley, the Ridgeway and the River Thames. Much of the course was designed by Harry Colt, who was also responsible for Sunningdale and Wentworth.
Goring and Streatley Golf Club is a downland golf course with undulating land, mature trees and strategically placed bunkers. It is a varied and challenging course. The greens at Goring and Streatley are renowned for being fast, true and in great condition. It is a friendly club with an established golf course, a rare cocktail indeed.
There is a restaurant specialising in home-made, locally-sourced produce, four bars and three function rooms. A short distance from the M4 and A34 makes it an easy venue to find – perfect if you wish to host a society day or just play a round.
Golf Monthly called it "A hidden gem".

Fast & true
Though I have lived only twenty five miles from the club for decades I am ashamed to admit that this was my first round there. We played as a four ball on a hot summer's day with parched fairways. The greens were as good as had been promised and it was a most enjoyable day. The course is not long by today's standards, but the varied hilly terrain is aways interesting. It is an excellent test in positional play, especially for those slightly advanced in years.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic condition
Four of us played the course yesterday Great reception from all the staff especially the guy in the pro shop, Handicaps ranged from 9-18, the course was in fantastic condition throughout, the greens in exceptional condition and very difficult to read. need to position your shots strategically to access a good approach to the greens.Would highly recommend if you want a true test of your golfing ability A+

Enjoyable round with great views
Course in great condition after the wet winter. Greens were as tricky if a bit slower than usual. Some changes since I last played with some bunkers now grass instead of sand but it doesn't make it any easier.Reviewer Rating
