I am biased as it's my home course. Great layout and a really friendly welcome from all. Excellent value and the course has a path all the way around making it buggy accessible in all weather.Reviewer Rating

Got to own up and admit I'm a member here. Why ? , it's the friendliest club in the area with no airs and graces or golf snobery which you get at other locations. Don't get me wrong , we follow golf etiquette and rules in the clubhouse but there's no looking down on anyone and all are welcome and included. The layout of the course is easy to follow and depending on the wind quite challenging. The greens are great all year round but the course itself can be a bit muddy in winter , in Summer it's a different course altogether with great bounce and run of the ball. The pro shop is well stocked and the guys are really knowledgeable and helpful and the members don't bite either !
Ample car parking facilities , changing rooms and all the usual equipment for hire added to a friendly hospitable bar / catering area makes it a good venue for all. Societies are welcome.
For me as a humble bang average player , it's simply the best course and value for money in the area.

Awful course - Awful staff
Upon arriving, there were two men having an altercation in the car park. One being a member of staff, the other being a disheartened customer.Having never attended the course prior to this occasion, my friend and I entered the shop in order to pay for our round and were approached rather aggressively by a member of staff who requested we remove our hats. I understand the etiquette is to remove hats inside a clubhouse however, we were in the shop area and not the main bar. The member of staff spoke to us with in a disrespectful manner in front of several people who are clearly from the Trimsaran / Carway area and are regular users of the clubhouse bar. Keeping in mind that these people were dressed in dirty joggers and smelt of smoke.
After paying for our round and going to the first tee, it was unclear to see where we should leave our bags so we left them just outside the tee box. Just as my friend was about to take his shot, the member of staff who had been swearing at a customer in the car park came running at us down the steps in front of the clubhouse and shouted 'don't leave your bags there, move them now!'. His sharp tone was very intimidating and set us up for poor start on the course.
As we took our first shots, we could hear the screams from the regulars who were sat outside the clubhouse drinking and they attempted to distract us from our game.
The course itself is just appalling. It is boggier than than any course we have ever played and in some parts, the water is almost ankle deep. There are pedestrians on the fairways who have strayed on from the footpath and two of my golf balls were stolen by dogs.
We only completed nine holes of an eighteen hole game as the ground was in a very poor condition. When we were exiting the course, we were given dirty looks by the staff that had previously been rude to us.
I would strongly suggest you avoid this course if you wish to be treated with respect and expect an actual game for the money you pay.
