What The Club Says
This parkland designed course plays much like a links. The entire layout has been designed and built to USGA specifications with sand based greens and tees. The course is tricky with its natural slopes and valleys combining with very up and down greens and some 90 bunkers. With truly magnificent panoramic views of the Wicklow Mountains and the Irish Sea, the designer McEvoy claimed, 'the views made this site a designer's dream.'

Glen of the Downs is a lovely parkland course overlooking the Sugar Loaf with views of the sea at Greystones on the other side. The course is in excellent condition and the friendliness of the staff is renowned. Quality of food is excellent although full restaurant prices are charged. One to add to your itinerary when you are in South Dublin or Wicklow,
