What The Club Says

This stunning 18 hole championship course was designed by John Bealey and modified by ex-Ryder Cup player and top international course designer Dave Thomas to follow the picturesque contours of the natural landscape. He achieved this so successfully that today the Club is proud to be considered one of the most beautiful parkland courses in the UK.

Dunham, as beautiful and as welcoming as I ever remember

I have been going to Dunham Golf Course since I was 7, started as a caddy and progressed as a golfer. As I had been working away for 15 years I was excited to return. Walking from the car park to the clubhouse felt like home. The place had changed very little, I went to see the 4th green and the putting area, sprinklers on as always and both were immaculate, a very beautiful and relaxing setting. I asked around about membership as this is my fav course across all of Cheshire and I found out a strong reason that the standards are as high as ever are due to the people who still Director influence such as Andrew Sciama, I was even taken-aback when I received a phone call asking how my returning experience was. Looking forward to playing and bringing my clients to the course as I know they will have the perfect gold experience.

Magnificent

Very wet and windy but you can see it would be an amazing course in good weather. Very friendly pro shop as well.

Great layout but fairways not very lush maybe due to not being watered and greens far too slow for this time of year.

Good course in great condition. Greens ran true and good for speed. Some bunkers more sandy than others.

A nice course with excellent facilities but felt the green fee of £65 was steep for this course.

Cheshire / Manchester Gem

Dunham Forest is a true gem in the Cheshire / Greater Manchester area.

A warm, welcoming club with fantastic facilities and amenities.

The course is typically in great condition owing to the sand base, allowing for better drainage (which helps in Manchester). Greens are particularly good, and have been known to be dialled up to be firm and fast.

Dunham offers a nice balance between playability and challenge. A higher handicapper can easily go out and enjoy a round without feeling like they got beaten up by the course, while a lower handicap can get a good challenge particularly from the white tees.

All in all a great course and club which I would recommend everyone try.

Great!

Great course - really interesting. Very wet, but course held up well with standing water only on 1 green (6th). Will definitely return! need to be straight!

Great track

First time playing Dunham Forest. Nice looking clubhouse, friendly welcome. Good practice facilities, well stocked pro shop. Food and drink all good. Nice par 5 start, tree lined opening few holes, need to be fairly straight off the tee. Opens out a bit on later holes. Greens true, quite quick and some difficult to read making 3 putts a very good possibility if wrong side of the hole. The course is a good walk a few ups and downs towards the end of the round. A very enjoyable day on a lovely testing course, one I will be returning to for sure.
